New Car Buyers: Your Personal Story Can Save Lives

Will you buy a new car or other vehicle after October 5? If so, your personal story could help prevent death and injury due to tire inderflation.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)'s new rule on tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) will allow on the road dangerously underinflated tires. On your behalf, Public Citizen is suing the Department of Transportation to stop this inadequate and deadly rule. You can be a part of our effort to protect our motoring safety. We need a Public Citizen member or activist who will be purchasing a new car or other vehicle after October 5 to tell his or her personal story and help us establish standing in the law suit.
