Stop Construction of a New Unnecessary and
 Costly Nuclear Reactor
Your Comments Can Halt The Plan to Proceed
Deadline: May 14, 2007

Energy generating sources in Tennessee are sufficient to meet power demands through 2020. In addition, new nuclear plants are unneccessary, perform poorly, and are not cost effective. That's the conclusion from the 1995 report conducted by the governmental entity the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA ). As a result, the building of a plant known as the Watts Bar Facility was discontinued.

Now...TVA is planning to restart construction of the unneccessary plant...What's Changed?

TVA is accepting public comment on the environmental impacts of the new nuclear reactor. To view a copy of TVA's environmental impact statement click here
