Protect Virginia's Coasts! Force a Full Environmental Review of New Dominion Nuclear Plant
Dominion, the large Virginia energy company, is in the process of obtaining a permit to site two new nuclear reactors at its North Anna plant in central Virginia. The plant is located on the shore of beautiful Lake Anna, which falls under the purview of the Coastal Zone Management Act, a law designed to protect coastal waterways and ecosystems.
Dominion is trying to skirt the law by arguing that Virginia does not need to conduct a review of the impacts that operating the new reactors' will have on Virginia's coasts.
