Fighting for their RIGHT to PARTY!

Presidential nominating conventions are not just about each party choosing the candidate to lead them.  They are also about lobbyists pampering their favorite lawmakers with lavish parties.

We had hoped this practice was over – YOU helped pass lobbying and ethics rules to ban lobbyists from hosting parties that “honor a member of Congress.”  But the House ethics committee released new guidelines that turned those rules on their head.  While lobbyists cannot pay for parties “honoring” one member of Congress, it is perfectly OK for them to pay for parties “honoring” two or more members of Congress.

Edit the letter below to tell your representative that the House ethics guidelines for lobbyist-funded parties are absurd – and hardly ethical.
