You may be getting taken for a ride. A 2006 lawsuit claimed that the company Carfax, which purports to provide "national" accident data on used cars, is missing information from 22 states and the District of Columbia. Public Citizen objected to a proposed settlement that wouldn't disclose these omissions or benefit consumers.  Learn more.
