Write a Letter to the Editor to Stop Alex Azar

Donald Trump has promised to lower drug prices — even saying that “pharmaceutical corporations are getting away with murder” — but his administration’s actions keep proving this to be disingenuous.

Trump’s new nominee for secretary of Health and Human Services — former Eli Lilly president Alex Azar — is the latest egregious example of his work to put corporations directly in charge of our government.

By sending a letter to the editor of your local paper, you can help get the word out about Big Pharma’s takeover. Your letter can make sure that your neighbors are informed and help inspire action against Azar’s confirmation.

It’s quick and easy to create a letter to the editor:

You can use our worksheet to write your own, personalized letter for any paper or watch our webinar on letters to the editor to hear more about Azar and how to write LTEs.

You can also use the form below to find a newspaper and construct a letter — but remember to personalize it — the components we give you are only a suggestion and LTEs are more impactful when they come from your unique perspective.

And remember — keep an eye out for your letter and please let us know if it shows up in the paper by emailing us at medsaccess@citizen.org. That way we can help ensure your members of Congress see them!

Thank you for helping build buzz around this — together, we’ll make sure the Senate knows we demand they say no to Alex Azar.
