The Keystone XL Pipeline is Neither in Our National Nor Global Interest

Send a letter to the State Department insisting that climate impacts be considered in the pipeline review

The State Department is conducting a new environmental review of the northern portion of the Keystone pipeline, but it’s not clear that it will consider the climate change impacts of developing the tar sands — a fossil fuel that the Environmental Protection Agency estimates emits up to 82 percent more greenhouse gases then conventional crude.

The comment period for the Supplement to the Final Environmental Impact Statement ended on July 30, 2012.
