Email Your Representative to Oppose “Fast Track”
We’re in the Final Rounds of Lame-Duck “Fast Track” Fight
Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiators held closed-door meetings in Washington, D.C., last week.
As the negotiators rush to finalize the TPP by an arbitrary mid-November deadline, some on the Hill are seeking to revive Fast Track in the upcoming lame-duck session, when political accountability is at its lowest.
Thankfully, many in Congress recognize the danger and have opposed Fast Track. Some members of Congress are working on a replacement for the dangerous Fast Track trade authority. We need to make sure that whatever replacement is created does not look, sound or smell like the same old, undemocratic Fast Track.
