Tell Congress to End Forced Arbitration
Stop the Corporate Attack on Our Rights
In the fine print of contracts, corporations often insert a “forced arbitration” clause to strip consumers and employees of the right to hold them accountable in a court.
Instead, consumers and employees who have been hurt or ripped off are forced into a private system that favors corporations.
Take a stand against corporations that are denying us our constitutional rights.
Tell your members of Congress to co-sponsor the Arbitration Fairness Act (S. 1133, H.R. 2087) and the CLASS Act (S. 1122, H.R. 2079).
The Arbitration Fairness Act (AFA) would eliminate forced arbitration from ALL consumer and employment terms – and allow consumers and employees to choose how to resolve disputes after they arise — whether in court or arbitration, individually or as part of a group.
The CLASS (Court Legal Access and Student Support) Act would prevent colleges from using forced arbitration in their enrollment contracts to deny students their right to a day in court. It also would prevent these colleges from using the fine print to block class actions.
