Health Care Is a Right

Declare Your Support for Truly Universal, Single-Payer Health Care

The way some pundits talk, you might think universal health care is a fantasy that exists only in fictional places populated by wizards and unicorns.

Here’s the truth: Many countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Taiwan, France and Canada, provide universal care for their citizens. The costs are lower. The outcomes are better.

What is fictional is the idea that the United States — the richest country in the history of the entire world — is unable to provide health care for all.

Add your name to declare your support for truly universal, single-payer health care.

I believe health care is a right, and I call on lawmakers at every level of the U.S. and state governments to do everything in their power to establish a truly universal, single-payer health care system that covers every American. It’s not too expensive. It’s not too complicated. And it’s not too hard if we call come together to overcome industry opposition.
