Close the Foreign Campaign Money Loophole

The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United v. FEC transformed our campaign finance system.

This ruling has opened up new avenues for international money to influence our elections, since U.S. subsidiaries of overseas companies may now make unlimited donations to super PACs.

The FEC will consider a proposal that would tighten up the law banning foreign money from filtering into our elections. It would stop domestic subsidiaries of foreign-owned corporations from making campaign contributions.
