Tell Mitch McConnell: Stop Attacking the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau fined Wells Fargo $185 million for opening millions of credit and debit card accounts in the names of actual people, who didn’t know about or authorize the accounts.
Now, Senator Mitch McConnell — who reports more than $1,000,000 in Wells Fargo stock owned by his wife (who sits on the bank’s board of directors) — is trying to cripple the agency.
Sign the Petition to Senator Mitch McConnell
We, the undersigned, demand that Mitch McConnell immediately withdraw any legislation that would weaken the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and that he recuse himself from any further matters related to this critical agency.
