Get Involved to Clean the Air, Reduce Electric Bills and Cut Greenhouse Gas Emissions
The city of San Antonio recently adopted the SA Tomorrow Sustainability Plan — but it doesn’t include goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Climate change is already impacting our communities and cannot be ignored. The next step is for the Office of Sustainability to develop a San Antonio Climate Action Plan.
Will San Antonio’s city-owned electric utility — CPS — make investments in the continued burning of dirty coal? Or will it prioritize the use of solar and wind energy, and improving energy efficiency in homes and businesses? These decisions can have impacts on air quality, affordability and the local economy.
Any climate action plan will benefit greatly from public participation in crafting it. And that’s where you come in.
