New York: Pass Early Voting Before the Legislative Session Ends
New York is one of only 15 states that prohibits early voting.
In the 2014 midterms, only 29 percent of New York’s voting-age citizens voted — the state’s lowest turnout in 40 years, ahead of only Indiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.
Adopting early voting would proactively address our defunct democracy by bringing more people into the political process.
