Tell Your Elected Officials to Pass the CREATES Act to Lower Drug Prices
Prescription drug corporations are abusing safety rules to stop generic drug companies from getting the samples they need for FDA approval — engaging in an inhumane industry practice called REMS (risk evaluation mitigation strategies) abuse.
Reckitt Benckiser Pharmaceuticals, Inc. used this process to block competition and keep the price of an opioid addiction treatment high, despite growing public health concerns.
Congress can fix this injustice by passing the CREATES Act, which would stop REMS abuse, allow earlier generic competition and bring drug prices down.
Email your elected officials urging them to pass the CREATES Act before they go home for the holidays.
