Tell Congress: No Citizens United 2.0 in the Tax Bill

Congressional Republicans are trying to use the tax bill to sneak in a measure that would be the most radical and destructive re-write of campaign finance rules since Citizens United.

Their proposal would repeal the Johnson Amendment, permitting churches and charities to engage in electoral activity — unleashing a flood of new taxpayer subsidized secret political spending into our elections.

Congressional negotiators are deciding right now whether to include this abomination in the tax bill.

If enough Americans weigh in, with enough passion, we can stop them from unleashing Citizens United 2.0 on our democracy.
