STATE COLLEGE, PA: Citizens United v. FEC Two Year Anniversary Demonstration

University student protests have historically been the driving force behind revolutionary movements throughout the world. The Citizens United decision declaring money as being equal to person-hood legitimizes a corporate sponsored government. If we allow this ruling to stand as legal precedent for the future it will become the final measure in ensuring that our electoral process remains no more than a highly funded distraction. It is time for the Penn State community to stand up for something more important than football. With so many students we have a duty to utilize the same force that sparked the counter culture of the 70's, toppled corrupt Korean and Japanese governments of the 80's, and has recently given way to the uprisings of the Arab Spring. Join us in protesting the two-year anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling that allows corporations to spend unlimited funds trying to influence our elections. Together we can begin to restore america from this blatant attack on the very fabric of our democracy. For now, we will be meeting up in the HUB Robeson Center and marching down to Allen street where the Borough council office is. This plan is open to suggestion so if you have a better idea let me know. Bring signs flags etc. Keep an eye out for the FB group if you'd like updates or email me at
