Reclaiming Democracy: A Panel Discussion about Money and Politics

Join us for this free lively panel discussion about the influence of corporate money in politics. Three activists on the front lines of the social justice movement will discuss the campaign to pass an amendment striking down the Citizens United decision, the 2010 U.S. Supreme Court case which held that the First Amendment prohibits the government from restricting independent political expenditures by corporations and unions. The speakers will also highlight the fight for clean elections, the continued influence of the Occupy movement and its messages, as well as efforts to preserve endangered civil liberties.
