Call Chair Mendelson and Your Key Councilmembers and Urge Them to Vote Yes on the Pay-to-Play Reform Bill Tuesday, December 4

We need a veto-proof majority to ensure the sweeping pay-to-play reform bill passes, so please raise your voice to help ensure we get the votes during the final Council vote on December 4.

Call Council Chair Phil Mendelson at (202) 724-8032.

Then call the Council General Number (202) 724-8000 and ask to be connected to the councilmember listed below.

If you don't know your Ward, please call Councilmember Anita Bonds (At-Large) at 202-724-8064.

Wards 1, 6 & 7: Call At-Large Councilmember Anita Bonds. Please thank her for voting "yes" during the first vote and ask her to support the bill on December 4 as well. (Councilmembers Charles Allen and Vince Gray authored major parts of the reform bill, Councilmember Nadeau is a strong supporter.)

Ward 2: Call Jack Evans. He voted "yes" during the first vote, so please thank him and ask him to vote "yes" on December 4 as well.

Ward 3: Call At-Large Councilmember Robert White. He spoke in support of the bill and voted "yes" during the first vote. Please thank him and ask him to vote "yes" on December 4 as well. (Ward 3 Councilmember Mary Cheh voted "yes" during the first vote after proposing a change that strengthened the bill.)

Ward 4: Call Councilmember Brandon Todd and ask him to vote "yes" during the final vote. He spoke against the bill and voted "present" during the first vote.

Ward 5: Call Councilmember and Council Chair Pro Tempore Kenyan McDuffie and ask him to vote "yes" during the final vote. He spoke against the bill and voted "present" during the first vote.

Ward 8: Call Councilmember Trayon White, Sr. He spoke in support of the bill and voted "yes" during the first vote. Please thank him and ask him to vote "yes" on December 4 as well.
